Ice Cream was the theme of out July 11th Meeting. Marianne kicked-off the meeting with a personal story about how she once worked for a gourmet ice cream company and shared the key to creamy ice-cream: (1) high butterfat content, and (2), a fast freezing rate. She also encouraged us to try Creamistry where they use liquid nitrogen to freeze your ice cream right in front of you.
Jeanie was our only speaker. In preparation for an upcoming presentation, she gave a speech on “Beating The Clock: A Secret Way Anyone Can Invest in Real Estate.” The topic peeked everyone’s interest and brought lots of questions to the table. Heather’s thorough evaluation will help Jeanie prepare for the event. They’re going to love it just as much as we did!
Shirin lead a lively round of ice cream themed table topics and shared some interesting facts about ice cream’s history. We learned that George Washington spent $200 on ice cream one summer. Our new member, Nady, took home the Best Table Topics Ribbon for sharing why he doesn’t like food trucks and why hand-churned ice cream may not be worth the effort. He used the word of the day and had no filler words; pretty good for his first meeting.by
